Congratulations to the Whalers for winning the A Division
in a hard clean 0 - 0 game resulting in 0 - 0 Overtime
and finally a 2 - 1 win in first 5 on 5 shoot out.

Congratulations to the Mavericks for winning the B Division
in a hard clean 3 - 1 win.

With all the challenges going on at the start of the season we neglected to welcome the Whalers to the League.
The I.C.O.H.L. would like to welcome the Whalers to the league.
They have made their presence felt and have successfully fitted right in.
Please accept our apologies for the belated welcome, and WELCOME!

We were calculating regular season standings based on %Wins
Played 15 games and won 7 then we have 47 % Wins
Martin from the Bruins made a recommendation that it would be much fairer if we went to %Points
Made sense so we now look at total games played and points acquired
Looking at Direct Hit with 7 Wins, 7 Losses and 4 Ties, the old way they would have 39% Wins, but of the posible 36 points they have 18 giving them 50% for points acquired.

Due to mechanical issue with the Olympia doors for Arena 3 and 4 ice is not available.
Jan 10th games have been rescheduled to the 17th.
Schedule has been updated reflecting shifting all all game out one week.
Of course this means Championship games will be played April 4th instead of March 28th.

The Reds have acquired new jerseys and in doing so require a name change.
The Reds are now the Bruins and there will be no issues with team color conflicts anymore. Have a fun out there and a great season.

We would like to welcome our 8th team to the 2017-2018 ICOHL Season.
It has been a very bummpy road the last three weeks and we still have a few items to resolve, but at lease we are all playing Hockey.
The Reds entry came at a perfect time. It was a win win for both the Reds and ICOHL in this case. Just when we were going to lose our 7 PM time slot and the Reds league folded, we connected and were able to make this work. I know everyone's heads are spinning, but not as much as ours. We hope everyone welcomes the new team and truely enjoys the season with two new teams to freshen up the league.
